About the Opportunity:  

What is this opportunity? 
Elsevier is giving Osmosis students the chance to meet Doctor Mike (Dr. Mikhail Varshavski) in person in New York City as part of an exclusive student roundtable on AI in medical education, taking place between August 21-23 2026. Selected participants will be filmed on camera with Doctor Mike for use in Elsevier and Osmosis marketing materials. 

How many students will be selected? 
Five students will be selected, along with two alternates. 

What exactly will the roundtable look like? 
You’ll be joining a casual, intimate conversation with your fellow selected students and Doctor Mike on AI in medical education. Think less formal panel, more real talk. 

Who is eligible? 
To be eligible, you must be: 

• Currently enrolled in a healthcare program including but not limited to MD, DO, RN, MBBS, MBChB, BMBS, DDS, BDS, PharmD, BPharm, NP, PA, PT/Physiotherapy, OT, Midwifery, Paramedicine, Radiography, Medical Laboratory Science, Veterinary Medicine, or a similar health-related degree program 

• Available to travel to New York City, NY between August 21-23 2026 

• Comfortable being filmed on camera with Doctor Mike 

• An active Osmosis user 

• Have a valid visa or be able to obtain one permitting travel to the United States, and be able to comply with any applicable entry requirements at the time of the event. 

Is this open to international students? 
Yes, this opportunity is open to students globally. However, applicants must hold a valid visa permitting travel to the United States and must be able to comply with any applicable geographic travel restrictions or U.S. entry requirements at the time of the event. Please check your country’s travel requirements before applying. 

Applying:  

When are applications open? 
Applications open in early July and close July 20th, 2026. Winners will be notified in early August. 

How long will the application take? 
We estimate it takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. The application includes five short questions, plus a quick video submission. 

What does the video submission need to include? 
Record yourself (on your phone or computer) answering the following question in 2 minutes or less: How do you use Osmosis in your studies? 

Can I submit my application in a language other than English? 
All written and video submissions must be in English. 

Can I apply if I’ve never used Osmosis AI, only Osmosis? 
Yes! Osmosis AI hasn’t launched to every field yet, so as long as you’ve used Osmosis (free trial, current, or former user) you’re eligible to apply. 

Will my video and application content be used publicly? 
By applying, you agree that any application content or recorded material may be used in Elsevier and Osmosis marketing materials. 

Selection Process: 

How are participants selected? 
Participants will be selected by a committee of Elsevier professionals based on their application responses, video submission, and overall fit for the event. 

When will I find out if I’ve been selected? 
Selected participants will be notified in early August 2026. 

Travel & Accommodations: 

What travel and accommodation are covered? 
Roundtrip airfare and lodging in New York City will be provided for selected participants. Ground transportation, meals, tourist activities, and other personal expenses will not be covered. Additionally, Visa fees and travel documentation costs are the responsibility of the applicant. 

Who will book the winner’s travel and accommodation? 
An Elsevier team member will coordinate travel and hotel bookings directly with each winner. Please note that this opportunity is for selected participants only and guests and/or plus-ones are not included. 

How far in advance will travel be booked? 
Travel will be booked as soon as winners are announced and confirm their participation in early August, giving selected participants as much lead time as possible. 

What if my travel plans change or I need to cancel after being selected? 
Please only apply if you are certain, you are available August 21-23, 2026. We are unable to guarantee accommodation for cancellations after selection. 

Filming & Content: 

What will the filming involve? 
Filming will take place over approximately an hour and a half, followed by dinner with Doctor Mike and your fellow selected students. It’s designed to be a comfortable, conversational experience. 

Will I be able to review the content before it’s published? 
Elsevier retains full editing and content rights to all recorded material. Content will not be shared for review prior to publication.

Official Rules 
Doctor Mike Roundtable – Elsevier Healthcare Student Competition

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY 

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win this Competition. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. 

2. SPONSOR 

The Competition is sponsored by Elsevier Inc., 101 Park Avenue, 24^th Floor, New York, NY 10178, USA (“Sponsor” or “Elsevier”). 

3. ELIGIBILITY 

The Competition is open to legal residents of all countries worldwide, who are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in their country of residence, whichever is greater) at the time of entry, and who are currently enrolled as students in an accredited healthcare-related programme (including but not limited to medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, or allied health). 

The following individuals are NOT eligible to enter: (a) employees, officers, directors, agents, contractors, and immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses) of Elsevier Inc. or any of its parent companies, subsidiaries, or affiliated entities (collectively “Elsevier Group”), or of any company involved in the administration or judging of this Competition; (b) individuals where participation is prohibited or restricted by applicable law or by the rules of the entrant’s institution; and (c) government officials and employees who are prohibited from accepting prizes or participating in promotions under applicable law or regulation. Government officials bear the sole burden of self-determining their eligibility to participate and/or receive a prize based on any restrictions placed on them by applicable law or institutional regulations. 

4. ENTRY PERIOD 

The Competition opens on July 6, 2026, at 8 am EST and closes on July 20, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time (“Entry Deadline”). Entries received after the Entry Deadline will not be considered. Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device. 

5. HOW TO ENTER 

To enter, eligible individuals must complete the online application form available at https://www.videoask.com/fio0m4b51. (This link will be replaced with link to Student Hub page) during the Entry Period. The application requires entrants to provide their name, institution name and programme of study, and video responses to two short-answer questions. All required fields must be completed to constitute a valid entry. 

Limit one (1) entry per person. Multiple entries from the same individual will be disqualified. Entries generated by script, macro, bot, or other automated means are void. Elsevier is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, or misdirected entries. 

6. PRIZE 

Up to [5–10] winners will each receive one (1) seat at an exclusive in-person roundtable discussion with Doctor Mike (Mikhail Varshavski, D.O.) to be held in New York City, USA between August 21-23rd (“Prize”). The Prize includes: round-trip economy-class travel to New York City from winner’s country of residence; hotel accommodation for one night and one meal during the event. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each Prize: USD $1,300 per person. Total ARV of all Prizes: USD $13,000. 

Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. No cash alternative will be offered except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the described prize becomes unavailable. 

7. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION 

Winners will be selected by a panel of qualified judges appointed by Elsevier on or around August 5^th.  Entries will be evaluated based on the following criteria: (a) relevance and clarity of responses 35%; (b) passion for education and AI 25%; and (c) creativity and originality 40%. The judges’ decisions are final and binding in all matters. 

The pool of eligible applicants will not be limited to any pre-selected class of individuals based on identity, and winners will not be hand-picked by Elsevier outside of the judging criteria above. 

Potential winners will be notified by email on or around August 5^th. Potential winners must respond within [3] business days of notification or an alternate winner may be selected. Elsevier is not responsible for undeliverable notifications. 

8. ODDS OF WINNING 

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received and the quality of each entry as assessed against the judging criteria in Section 7. 

9. TAXES 

All federal, state, provincial, local, and other taxes, duties, tariffs, and any other costs associated with acceptance or use of a Prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winners may be required to complete and return tax documentation before the Prize is awarded. 

10. PUBLICITY 

By accepting a Prize, each winner grants Elsevier a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use their first name and country of residence for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. No other personal information will be used for publicity purposes without the winner’s separate written consent. 

11. USE OF ENTRY INFORMATION 

By submitting an entry, entrants grant Elsevier a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and publish the information contained in their application for internal research, programme development, and related business purposes, subject to Elsevier’s Privacy Policy available at www.elsevier.com/legal/privacy-policy. 

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE 

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, by entering this Competition, each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless Elsevier, the Elsevier Group, Doctor Mike, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, damages, losses, or liability arising out of: (a) participation in this Competition or acceptance or use of any Prize; (b) any breach of these Official Rules; or (c) any technical failures or errors affecting the administration of the Competition. 

Elsevier is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage of any kind resulting from participation in this Competition. Elsevier reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify this Competition if fraud, technical failures, or any other factors beyond its reasonable control impair the integrity of the Competition, as determined by Elsevier in its sole discretion. 

13. GOVERNING LAW 

These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising in connection with this Competition shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New York County, New York, USA. 

14. WINNERS LIST 

A list of winners (first name and country only) will be available following the conclusion of the Competition by sending a written request to: Elsevier Inc., Attn: Doctor Mike Roundtable Competition, 101 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10178, USA, or by emailing (ELSGHM-CustomerExperience@elsevier.com) Requests must be received by October 22, 2026.  

15. GENERAL 

These Official Rules constitute the entire agreement between the entrant and Elsevier with respect to this Competition and supersede all prior agreements. If any provision of these Official Rules is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. Elsevier’s failure to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. 

This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, any social media platform on which it may be promoted. Any questions regarding this Competition should be directed to Elsevier, not to any such platformthe administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the promotion, Elsevier reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the promotion and to select winners from among all eligible entries received prior to the date of termination. Elsevier reserves the right to amend or modify the Rules, Terms and Conditions at any time during the promotion.
