Time Management Techniques for Nursing Students

Time management is a vital skill for nursing students and this can be developed during your time at university. There are lots of things that can contribute to overcoming procrastination. These include: 

  • Planning and organizing 
  • Setting goals and deadlines 
  • Prioritising tasks 
  • Eliminating distractions 
  • Rewarding yourself 
  • Taking adequate breaks 
  • Utilising organizational tools like: wall planners, diaries, apps or online calendars 
  • Use different study methods such as: time blocking and the Pomodoro method
